Making test hits at US 60 this Sunday! Sunday! Sunday!
Well, not a good outing. Lot of popping and misfire, Tried cleaning jets on carbs, no luck. Loaded and came home, glad I came our early in the year. Next week will be better!

Starting to see these EVERYWHERE!

Living the Dream

Well, looks like we get to do some racing this Sunday, Sunday, Sunday! OVD will have a combo race and all our members will be competing. I wish them lots of luck and hope we go some rounds!
Saturday it was Justin, Pete and myself. Pete and I pitted outside the gates, turned out it was ok there. Justin had a terrible wheel hop and went out first round. I went out first round and lost to my arch enemy Buffalo Mafia Dale. So I bought back and lost that round. Pete won a round and advanced, but unfortunately lost in the next round.
Sunday I was the only one to go and went out first round, went home and cut the grass. (needed to do that for sure)
Monday evening went to Justin's and worked on his car. Moved the Caltracs into the bottom hole, gave some negative pinion angle and tested on Wednesday. Got rid of the wheel hop, so now he just needs to turn the shocks and chassis. Some suggestions he got, trim down the bump stops, loosen up the rebound on the front, and make some changes to the rear shock to hit harder.
This weekend June 5 - 7 I'm heading to Columbus for the Nostalgia Super Stock Bash sponsored by Casey and Poppa J, A and A Transmission, and Buckeye Super Stock Association. Should be a lot of fun and those guys in Ohio are some tuff cookies! Got Dale and Jimmy from the Buffalo Mafia and myself going. Hopefully we will do respectable and get the guys from our area some track cred.
Didn't do very well at Columbus. No problem with the car, it was all driver. I need to work on getting somemore rollout so I can cut a light. The car is running great onthe big end. After 4 years, I think I'll be able to start doing some good with this one.
On another note, I did get to one up my arch rival Dale in Saturdays eliminationtions. Not sure how well I won, we didn't get a time slip. On another note, Jimmy Devers did make it to Semi's on Saturday. Unfortunately on Sunday we all 3 went out first round.
Mopar ltd did get a visit from Hemi racing legend, Dean Minks. Photo below is him with Issy being his personal valet for the day.
